Tour Itinerary

You'll meet your guide at the Canal/Hawes Park & Ride, where our shuttle takes you to the Lower Salt River launch. We'll do a quick safety orientation and gear distribution. Once everyone is fitted with PFDs we'll board our professional-grade inflatable rafts. The first stretch of the Lower Salt River offers immediate views of giant saguaros and the rugged Goldfield Mountains as we begin our downstream drift.

As we navigate the calm currents, your guide will keep a close watch for the Salt River Wild Horses often found near the water's edge and bald eagles in their nests. We move at a steady pace, allowing plenty of time for wildlife photography and observation of the diverse bird population. The tour concludes at the take-out point, where our shuttle waits to return you to the original meeting location for the final wrap-up.

$148 per person.
Minimum of 4 guests required per booking - groups can often be combined to meet the minimum.
Hotel pickup available for $295 per activity.
Private tours available for an additional $200.

Requirements

• Skill Level: Beginner; no previous experience required.
• Minimum Age: 5 years old
• Walking: Very minimal; easy access to the raft.
• Elevation: Desert floor level.
• Special Requirements: Minimum weight 35 lbs.

Season & Departure Times

From May through September 14, we operate a 7:30 AM departure only to beat the afternoon desert heat and ensure the best wildlife viewing conditions. From September 15 through April, departures are at 10:00 AM.
