Important Information About New National Park Entry Fees

New Non–Resident Fee Policy

Effective January 1, 2026, non–U.S. citizens and non–residents must pay a Non–Resident Fee when visiting 11 major national parks: Acadia, Bryce Canyon, Everglades, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain, Sequoia & Kings Canyon, Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Zion.

Key Details

  • Fee: $100 per non–resident (age 16+) in addition to standard park entry fees.
  • Annual Pass: The new America the Beautiful Non–Resident Annual Pass is $250 and covers the passholder plus up to three additional adults.
  • Documentation: Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency (passport, driver’s license, or Green Card) is required for exemption.

This federal rule is issued by the U.S. Department of the Interior and applies to all visitors and tour operators. More information and FAQs: https://www.nps.gov/aboutus/commercial-tours-and-nonresident-fees.htm

How to Purchase the Required Pass

1. Online Options

Physical Annual Pass (Recommended): Order from the USGS Online Store.

  • International shipping may be available, but delivery times vary; order at least three weeks before travel.
  • If shipping is unavailable or slow, consider sending it to a U.S. address (friend, family, or your first hotel—always confirm with the hotel).

Digital Annual Pass (Instant Access): Purchase via Recreation.gov.

  • Store it on your mobile device.
  • A photo ID is required at park entrances.

2. In–Person Purchase

If you’re traveling soon, you can buy the pass at the first participating park entrance station or visitor center you visit.

Purchasing in advance is highly recommended if you’ll visit multiple parks to avoid paying the per–person non–resident fees.

We remain committed to supporting our international guests and look forward to welcoming you on your upcoming adventure.
