Tour Itinerary
We meet at the Butcher Jones Recreation Site to gear up and receive a professional safety orientation and paddling basics from our expert crew. Once on the water, we navigate the calm, scenic waters of Saguaro Lake while paddling toward secluded inlets and shorelines. The pace is perfectly relaxed so you can soak up every bit of the Superstition Mountains and Four Peaks scenery while watching for wildlife.
Your guide shares expert insights into the vibrant Sonoran Desert ecosystem and the lake's role as a habitat for bald eagles, desert bighorn sheep, reptiles, and amphibians. We explore the most scenic shorelines before making our way back to the original launch site. Every paddle stroke is designed to leave you with unforgettable memories of the Arizona wilderness.

2-3 Guests: $150.00/person
4-10 Guests: $120.00/person
Single kayaks available for an additional $10.00 per person.
Private tours available for an additional $200.00.

Requirements
- Skill Level: Beginner - No previous kayaking experience is required.
- Minimum Age: 12+ years; all minors must be accompanied by an adult.
- Minimum Weight: 35 lbs.
- Walking: Minimal distance from parking to the water launch.
- Special Requirements: Secure footwear required (no flip-flops or bare feet).

- Permits & Fees: National Forest entry fees and one National Forest parking pass per booking.
Season & Departure Times
This tour is available Monday through Friday. The total experience runs approximately 2.5-3.5 hours, with about 2-2.5 hours of paddling time on the water. Standard departures are 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. From May through September, only a 7:30 AM departure is offered.
Important Notes
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED: All tours must be booked in advance. Recommended attire includes a hat, sunscreen (SPF 30+), and weather-appropriate clothing. Don't forget a waterproof camera!
