Tour Itinerary

Your day begins with pickup from most Flagstaff hotels and AirBnB locations, followed by a scenic drive through the expansive Ponderosa pine forests of Coconino National Forest toward Grand Canyon National Park. Along the way, you will have the option of visiting the historic Route 66 town of Williams or the famous Cameron Trading Post on the Navajo Reservation. It is possible to include both stops, but that may impact your time at the canyon.

Upon arrival at the South Rim, you will experience about three hours within the National Park marveling at the beauty of the Grand Canyon. Don’t forget to visit the historic El Tovar Lodge and Hopi House in Grand Canyon Village. You will have opportunities to walk the rim, shop, and capture unlimited photographs.

Requirements

  • Skill Level: Easy; suitable for all fitness levels.
  • Minimum Age: 3 years old - booster seats are required for children 5 and younger.
  • Walking: Short distances on paved, level paths at viewpoints.
  • Elevation: Approximately 7,000 feet at the South Rim.
  • Special Requirements: Guests should consult the forecast, dress appropriately for the weather.

Season & Departure Times

This tour operates year-round. Departure times are recommended between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM, with an estimated return time around 4:00–5:00 PM.

Important Notes

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED: Guests should dress appropriately for the weather and are strongly encouraged to pack their own lunch for the best options and value. Pickup is available from most Flagstaff hotels and AirBnB locations. If you are staying outside standard service areas we will coordinate a pick up location that has free parking. Lunch is not provided on this tour, and while you will have opportunities to purchase one on the tour we HIGHLY suggest you pack your own. This allows for better options & pricing.

Non-US Citizen Policy

The National Park Service requires a $100 per person Non-Resident Fee for all non-U.S. citizens visiting select national parks, including the Grand Canyon. This fee is not included in the tour price.
