What's included in this tour?
Round-trip luxury transportation from most Flagstaff hotels and AirBnB locations, a professional guide with live commentary in English, Grand Canyon National Park entry fees, and unlimited bottled water throughout the day.
How long is the tour?
Approximately 8 hours total, including about 3 hours inside Grand Canyon National Park.
What will I see?
The South Rim's most iconic viewpoints, plus the historic El Tovar Lodge and Hopi House in Grand Canyon Village. The drive itself is scenic — Ponderosa pine forests of Coconino National Forest — and you can optionally add the historic Route 66 town of Williams or the Cameron Trading Post on the Navajo Reservation.
Is this a private tour?
Yes. Your group travels exclusively in its own vehicle — a luxury SUV for groups of 1–5 guests or a high-roof touring van for groups of 6–13 guests.
Is this a guided experience?
Yes. Your professional guide provides live narration throughout the tour, covering the canyon's geology, wildlife, and human history.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Is this tour suitable for children?
Yes. Children ages 3 and older are welcome. Children 5 and younger require a car seat or booster seat; seats are not provided — please bring and install your own, per Arizona law.
How difficult is the tour?
This tour is rated easy. It is a sightseeing-focused experience suitable for all fitness levels.
How much walking is involved?
Most stops involve short walks of a few minutes on paved or well-maintained paths. Guests may choose how much or how little they want to explore at each viewpoint.
Is the elevation a concern?
The Grand Canyon South Rim sits at approximately 7,000 feet above sea level. Some guests may feel mild effects such as shortness of breath or lightheadedness due to the higher altitude.
Is this tour suitable for guests with mobility limitations?
Yes, the South Rim viewpoints we visit are generally wheelchair accessible with paved paths. Please notify us in advance if you have specific mobility equipment so we can ensure comfortable accommodations.
WHAT TO BRING & WHAT TO WEAR
What should I wear?
The South Rim sits at approximately 7,000 feet — expect temperatures similar to Flagstaff and significantly cooler than the Phoenix valley. Dress in layers and check the forecast before your tour.
Do I need special footwear?
Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes or sneakers are recommended for the rim paths.
Should I bring a jacket?
Yes. Temperatures at the canyon can be significantly cooler, especially in the morning and evening, making extra layers necessary.
Can I bring snacks or water?
Yes. Small snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. We provide unlimited bottled water throughout the day.
WEATHER & SEASONAL CONDITIONS
When is this tour available?
This private tour operates year-round, on any day of your choosing. Departure times are recommended between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
Do tours run in rain?
Tours operate in most weather conditions. In rare cases, severe weather may require schedule changes for safety; if conditions are not safe, we will work with you to reschedule.
Can weather affect the itinerary?
Yes. Weather or safety considerations may require itinerary adjustments, such as visiting different viewpoints for better visibility.
PICKUP & TRANSPORTATION
Do you pick up at my hotel?
Pickup is available from most Flagstaff hotels and AirBnB locations. If you are staying outside the standard service areas, we will coordinate a meeting location that has free parking.
When will I know my pickup time?
Your pickup window and meeting instructions are confirmed after booking.
MEALS & AMENITIES
Is lunch included?
No. Lunch is not provided — we highly suggest packing your own for better options and value, though you will have opportunities to purchase a meal during the tour; your guide can provide recommendations.
Are there bathrooms along the way?
Yes. We make regular stops throughout the tour.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Can I take photos?
Absolutely — unlimited photographs are encouraged at every viewpoint and in Grand Canyon Village.
BOOKING & POLICIES
Is there a fuel surcharge?
Yes. A $40/group fuel surcharge applies to all private departures.
Is the helicopter upgrade available?
Yes. You can add a 45-minute helicopter flight over the widest and deepest portion of the Grand Canyon for $395 per person. Note that your time on foot at the rim will be shortened to accommodate the flight.
What about the Non-US Citizen National Park fee?
The National Park Service requires a $100 per person Non-Resident Fee for non-U.S. citizens visiting select national parks, including the Grand Canyon. This fee is not included in the tour price.
What is your cancellation policy?
