What is this experience?
This is a private, half-day guided rock climbing adventure with climbs selected specifically for your group's ability and confidence level.
How long is the tour?
The tour duration is Approx. 3 to 4 Hours.
Is this tour private?
Yes. Each climb is kept private for your group.
Where do we climb?
Climbing venues are selected based on group goals, skill levels, and seasonal conditions. Common locations include Tom's Thumb in Scottsdale, Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, and Queen Creek near Superior.
MEETING & START TIMES
Where do we meet?
We typically meet at the specific trailhead parking area for the chosen crag (such as Tom's Thumb Trailhead in North Scottsdale). Precise GPS coordinates, directions, and rendezvous details will be provided in your trip confirmation.
What time does the tour start?
Tour start times are seasonally adjusted. November through April: 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM. May through October: 5:00 AM to 6:00 AM early starts to take advantage of cooler morning temperatures and shaded crags.
Will my guide contact me before the tour?
Yes. A pre-trip consultation is conducted prior to your tour to assess experience levels, discuss goals, and confirm the optimal crag and meeting location.
WHAT’S INCLUDED & EXCLUDED
What's included?
Commercial land use permits, AMGA or PCGI certified guide(s), all necessary technical climbing gear (harnesses, helmets, climbing shoes, ropes, belay devices), filtered water refills, and trail snacks. Guides carry first aid kits and communication devices.
What's not included?
Packed trail lunch and guide gratuities.
SKILL LEVEL & GEAR FIT
What skill level is this tour best for?
Beginner to Advanced. Routes are customized on-site to match your group's abilities.
What physical ability do I need?
Participants must be able to hike 1 to 2 miles round-trip over uneven, rocky terrain.
Do I need to fit into provided harnesses?
Yes. Adults must be able to fit safely into standard climbing harnesses (accommodating up to a 42" waist). Children must fit properly into youth climbing harnesses.
Do you provide climbing shoes?
Yes. If you do not have your own rock climbing shoes, shoe sizes must be provided in advance. Our inventory accommodates up to a Men's US 14.
WHAT TO BRING & WHAT TO WEAR
What should I wear?
Flexible, breathable athletic clothing that allows for a full range of motion is required. Light layers are recommended for cool desert mornings.
What kind of shoes do I need?
Sturdy, closed-toe hiking shoes, trail runners, or approach shoes with good traction are required for the hike in.
How much water should I bring?
Every guest must bring a minimum of 32 oz of water in a reusable bottle or hydration pack. Filtered water refills are provided.
What else should I bring?
We suggest a broad-brim hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and personal snacks or lunch.
SEASON & WEATHER
Is this tour available year-round?
Yes. This tour is available year-round by adjusting departure times and crag selections according to seasonal temperatures and shade.
What if the weather looks questionable?
We closely monitor local forecasts and will reschedule or cancel tours when inclement weather threatens guest safety. Weather-related decisions are made solely by 360 Adventures with safety as our top priority.
Are bees present outdoors?
Native Sonoran Desert bees and wasps can be present around rock formations. If you have a severe allergy, you are required to bring appropriate personal emergency medication (such as an EpiPen).
WAIVERS, BOOKING & POLICIES
Do we need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Everyone in your party must complete an online liability waiver prior to your tour. Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the form for them.
Are reservations required?
Yes. Reservations are required for this tour.
Is gratuity included?
Gratuity is not included, but it is always appreciated for exceptional service. Typical industry gratuities are 15%-20% (an automatic 15% applies to groups of 5 or more).
What is your cancellation policy?
This tour has a 72-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the tour date will be charged 100% of the tour fee. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected] and must receive written confirmation to be valid. Cancellations made outside the 72-hour window will receive a full refund, minus any applicable processing fees.
What happens if 360 Adventures cancels the tour?
In the rare event that 360 Adventures must cancel the tour due to severe weather or safety concerns, you will receive a 100% refund, including any fees.
