What is the Grand Canyon Scenic Airplane Tour?
It is a roundtrip fixed-wing airplane flight from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon, flying over Sedona's red rocks, the Painted Desert, and Navajo lands before an exclusive overflight of the canyon's widest and deepest point. This is an aerial tour only - it does not land at the Grand Canyon.
How long is the tour?
Approximately 3 hours: about one hour from Phoenix to the canyon, a 20-30 minute overflight of the Grand Canyon, and a direct one-hour flight back to Phoenix.
What will I see on the flight?
The Tonto National Forest, the red rock formations of Sedona, the San Francisco Peaks - Arizona's highest mountains - the colorful Painted Desert, and Navajo lands, with Arizona's topography changing from desert to brush land to high alpine forest along the way. At the Grand Canyon, the flight follows the canyon's widest and deepest section, approximately 1,000 feet above the South Rim.
Is this a helicopter tour?
No. This is a fixed-wing airplane tour and does not land at the Grand Canyon - it is an aerial overflight only.

Can flight times change?
