  • Marcus Landslide: View the impressive geological scale of this historic landslide from a bird's-eye view.
  • McDowell Mountains: Soar over the rugged peaks and ridgelines of this iconic Arizona mountain range.
  • Paradise Valley: Enjoy the contrast between lush local estates and the raw beauty of the Sonoran landscape.

Tour Itinerary

Your flight lifts off from Scottsdale Airport and heads northeast over the rooftops of Paradise Valley. The first part of the route mirrors the Paradise Valley & Scottsdale tour, giving you a bird’s-eye view of the area’s lush estates, desert golf courses, and the sharp ridgelines that define the Phoenix-Scottsdale corridor.

From Paradise Valley, the route continues into the McDowell Mountains. Here the landscape shifts from manicured desert neighborhoods to rugged volcanic peaks and ridgelines. The pilot follows the McDowell range north, revealing sweeping views of the Sonoran Desert, the distant Phoenix skyline, and the layered geology of the mountains below.

The highlight of the flight is the Fountain Hills Geyser. The helicopter circles above one of the world’s tallest man-made fountains, giving you time to watch the plume rise against the desert sky. From the air, the full scale of the fountain, the town, and the surrounding McDowell Mountains is a perspective you cannot get from the ground.

On the return leg, you fly over the Marcus Landslide, a massive prehistoric rockslide that stretches across the desert floor. The aerial view reveals the full scope of the landslide before the route turns back toward Scottsdale and descends toward the airport.
