What is the Evening Hot Air Balloon Flight?
This is a guided evening hot air balloon flight over the Sonoran Desert during the golden hour. You'll drift 2,000 to 5,000 feet over desert washes and mountain foothills, enjoy sunset views, and celebrate your landing with a champagne toast.
How long is the flight?
The flight itself lasts approximately 1.5–2 hours. Plan for about 3–4 hours for the entire experience, from meeting to return.
What time does the tour start?
Meeting time is approximately 2 1/2 hours prior to sunset. Your exact meeting time will be confirmed upon booking.
What will I see?
Look for landmarks such as Downtown Phoenix, Camelback Mountain, Lake Pleasant, and State Farm Stadium in the distance, along with local wildlife spotted from the air.
Who flies the balloon?
Your balloon is flown by a highly experienced FAA-certified pilot who shares history and geography insights throughout the flight.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
What is the minimum age?
Participants must be at least 5 years old and at least 48 inches tall.
Are there physical restrictions?
Guests must be able to climb in and out of the basket unaided. No pregnant guests or guests with recent surgery or broken bones. All passengers must complete a waiver before the tour.
How difficult is the tour?
Easy — no prior experience is required, with only minimal walking over level, rocky desert terrain.

When is this tour available?
Afternoon balloon tours are available seasonally from November 1 through March 15.
Do tours run in bad weather?
Flights are weather-dependent. If conditions are unsafe, we will work with you to reschedule.

Flights typically reach altitudes of 2,000 to 5,000 feet.
PICKUP & TRANSPORTATION
Where does the tour depart from?
The meeting point is Deer Valley Airport - Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless optional hotel transfers are arranged.
Is hotel transportation available?
Optional round-trip hotel transportation may be available for $40 per person. For transportation, child rates, or private flights, contact us.
MEALS & AMENITIES
Is food included?
Yes — after landing, enjoy gourmet hors d'oeuvres and a chilled champagne or sparkling cider toast while the pilot shares the history of ballooning. If anyone in your group has food allergies or preferences, let us know in the special request box at booking.
Are there non-alcoholic options?
Yes — sparkling cider is offered in place of champagne.

Can I bring a camera?
Yes — bring a camera with plenty of storage. The golden-hour light over the Sonoran Desert makes for amazing photos.

How much does the tour cost?
$259 per person for the adult shared afternoon flight. Rates are subject to 9% taxes and fees.
Are reservations required?
Yes — reservations are required, and we recommend booking in advance. Shared tours require a minimum of four passengers to operate.
When do I pay?
Your card is pre-authorized when you make your reservation. Once we confirm your tour, we process the payment and send your confirmation email.
What should I tell you when booking?
In the special request box, please provide each passenger's full name and weight, let us know if you are celebrating anything special, and list any food allergies or preferences.
What is the cancellation policy?
