What is the Sunrise Hiking Tour?
This is a guided 2-hour sunrise hike through the Sonoran Desert that culminates at a mountain saddle with breathtaking early-morning views of the Valley of the Sun, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Camelback Mountain.

How long is the hike?
The hike lasts approximately 2 hours on natural-surface trails.

What time does the tour start?
Departures run between 4:30 and 6:30 AM depending on the season, timed to catch the sunrise. Your guide will contact you ahead of the tour with the exact meetup location.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

What is the minimum age?
Participants must be at least 8 years old.

How difficult is the hike?
Easy to moderate. We go at your own speed and tailor the route to your mileage, terrain, and grade preferences.

What should I wear?
Closed-toe shoes such as running, cross-training, or hiking shoes are required. No sandals. Long-sleeved layers for sun protection and chilly morning temps.

What's included in the tour?
The tour includes an expert professional guide with Wilderness First Responder or EMT certification, lightweight backpacks and headlamps, bottles of purified water, healthy trail snacks (dietary preferences can be accommodated), any admission fees to parks or preserves, and beverages following your adventure.


WHAT TO BRING

What should I bring?
Bring closed-toe shoes (running, cross-training, or hiking shoes), long-sleeved layers for sun protection and chilly morning temps, sunglasses, hat or cap, and a camera for landscape photos.

When is this tour available?
The tour operates year-round. Departures run between 4:30 and 6:30 AM depending on the season, timed to catch the sunrise.

Do tours run in bad weather?
Tours operate in most conditions. In case of dangerous weather, we will reschedule or refund your tour.


PRICING & BOOKING

How much does the tour cost?
Solo hiker: $195. 2-3 hikers: $125 per person. 4-10 hikers: $99 per person. For parties of more than 10, please contact us for group rates. Groups of 8+ incur an automatic 15% gratuity. All tours are subject to an 8.1% tax.

Are reservations required?
Yes, reservations are required. Please book in advance to ensure guide availability.

What is the cancellation policy?
This tour has a 72-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made within 72 hours will be charged 100% of the tour fee.
