What is this experience?
This is a private, full-day rock climbing experience built for active climbers and groups who want extended time on real desert stone, with ample opportunity to explore varied terrain and climb at a relaxed pace.
How long is the tour?
The tour duration is Approx. 6 to 8 Hours.
Is this tour private?
Yes. Each climb is kept private for your group.
Where do we climb?
Venues are chosen based on group goals, experience levels, and seasonal microclimates. Common destinations include Tom’s Thumb in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, and Queen Creek Canyon near Superior.
MEETING & START TIMES
Where do we meet?
We meet at the designated trailhead parking area for the chosen crag (such as Tom’s Thumb Trailhead in Scottsdale). Precise GPS coordinates, driving directions, and rendezvous details are provided in your trip confirmation.
What time does the tour start?
Departures are seasonally adjusted. November through April: 7:00 AM and 12:00 PM. May and October: 6:00 AM departures to take advantage of early shade and cooler morning temperatures.
Do you offer full-day climbs during the summer?
No. We do not operate full-day climbing tours from June through September due to extreme summer desert heat. Half-day early morning options are available during summer months.
Will my guide contact me before the tour?
Yes. A pre-trip consultation is conducted prior to your tour to assess experience levels, discuss goals, and confirm the optimal crag and meeting location.
WHAT’S INCLUDED & EXCLUDED
What is included?
Commercial land use permits, AMGA or PCGI certified guide(s), all necessary technical climbing gear (harnesses, helmets, climbing shoes, ropes, belay hardware), filtered water refills, and trail energy snacks. Guides carry comprehensive first aid kits and emergency communication devices.
What’s not included?
Packed trail lunch and guide gratuities.
SKILL LEVEL & GEAR FIT
What skill level is this tour best for?
Beginner to Advanced. Routes and progression are customized on-site to match your group's stamina and climbing goals.
What physical ability do I need?
Participants must be able to hike 1 to 3 miles round-trip over uneven, rocky terrain carrying a daypack and climb throughout an extended day.
Do I need to fit into provided harnesses?
Yes. Adults must be able to fit safely into standard climbing harnesses (accommodating up to a 42" waist). Children must fit properly into youth climbing harnesses.
Do you provide climbing shoes?
Yes. If you do not bring personal climbing shoes, sizes must be provided in advance. Our inventory accommodates up to a Men’s US 14.

WHAT TO BRING & WHAT TO WEAR
What should I wear?
Flexible, durable athletic clothing suitable for high-friction rock surfaces. Light layers are recommended for cool morning starts.
What kind of shoes do I need?
Sturdy, closed-toe hiking shoes, trail runners, or approach shoes with aggressive traction are required for the approach hike.
How much water should I bring?
Every guest must bring a minimum of 32 oz of water in a reusable bottle or hydration reservoir. We provide filtered water refills.
What food should I bring?
Lunch is not provided; we suggest bringing a packed lunch and personal trail snacks so you have the energy to keep climbing throughout the day.
SEASON, WEATHER & WAIVERS
What if the weather looks questionable?
We closely monitor local forecasts and will reschedule or cancel tours when inclement weather threatens guest safety. Weather-related decisions are made solely by 360 Adventures with safety as our top priority.
Do we need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Everyone in your party must complete an online liability waiver prior to your tour. Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the form for them.
Are reservations required?
Yes. Reservations are required for this tour.
Is gratuity included?
Gratuity is not included, but it is always appreciated for exceptional service. Groups of 8+ incur an automatic 15% gratuity.
What is your cancellation policy?
This tour has a 72-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the tour date will be charged 100% of the tour fee. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected] and must receive written confirmation to be valid. Cancellations made outside the 72-hour window will receive a full refund, minus any applicable processing fees.
What happens if 360 Adventures cancels the tour?
In the rare event that 360 Adventures must cancel the tour due to severe weather or safety concerns, you will receive a 100% refund, including any fees.
