What is the Devil’s Bridge guided hike?
This tour focuses on reaching Devil’s Bridge, the largest natural sandstone arch in the Sedona area. You’ll experience panoramic red rock views and see the bridge from multiple vantage points, with a professional guide leading the way.
How long does the hike take?
Approximately 3 to 4 hours, including the hike in, time for photos and exploration at the arch, and the return journey to the trailhead.
What is the total distance of the hike?
It depends on the trailhead used. The Mescal Trailhead route is approximately 4.0 miles round-trip, the Dry Creek Vista route is approximately 5.8 miles round-trip, and the Devil’s Bridge Trailhead offers a 1.6-mile round-trip approach but requires a high-clearance vehicle and is not recommended in wet weather.
Is this a private tour or a group experience?
Due to National Forest restrictions, this tour is limited to a maximum of 6 guests. The small group size ensures a more personalized experience and allows our guides to maintain safety and quality standards throughout the trek.
Will we see more than just the bridge?
Yes. The route winds through the Coconino National Forest with views of various red rock formations and high-desert flora, and your guide shares the geology and history that shaped the landscape.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
What is the difficulty level of this hike?
This tour is rated moderate. Much of the trail is manageable high-desert terrain, finished by a short, moderate climb up a natural rock staircase to reach the bridge.
Are there specific physical requirements?
Guests should be capable of hiking approximately 4.0 to 5.8 miles round-trip on uneven, high-desert terrain with about 371 feet of elevation gain, and be comfortable navigating steep, natural stone steps near the bridge.
What is the minimum age?
This hike is suitable for ages 10 and up.
Do I have to walk across the bridge?
No — walking onto the bridge is optional. Your guide provides assistance and prioritizes safety, but guests should use their own discretion when crossing the sandstone span.
WHAT TO BRING & WHAT TO WEAR
What kind of footwear is required?
Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are strictly required for all participants. Hiking boots or athletic shoes with good traction are recommended to handle the rocky, uneven trail surfaces safely.
Do I need to bring my own water?
Yes. Guests are required to bring 24 to 32 ounces of water per person. 360 Adventures provides filtered water to refill your bottles at the meeting point if needed.
Are snacks provided?
Snacks are not included. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lightweight snacks to maintain energy during the 3 to 4-hour excursion.
What else should I bring?
A daypack for personal items, weather-appropriate layers, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen for the Arizona sun, and a camera — you’ll want it at the bridge.
WEATHER & SEASONAL CONDITIONS
Is this tour available year-round?
Yes, the Devil’s Bridge hike operates year-round. Summer (June–September) departures are at 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM; from October through May, departures are at 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
What happens if it rains on the day of my hike?
Tours do not typically cancel for rain alone. However, if conditions are determined to be dangerous by our guides, the tour will be cancelled for safety reasons.

PICKUP & TRANSPORTATION
Where does the tour depart from?
The tour departs from trailheads in Sedona — typically the Mescal Trailhead or Dry Creek Vista Trailhead, depending on conditions and accessibility. Specific meeting instructions are confirmed before your tour.
How should I handle parking at the trailhead?
Parking at Sedona trailheads is extremely limited and often fills up early. If your tour falls on a Thursday through Sunday, we strongly recommend the free Sedona Shuttle (Route 11) from the West SR-89A Park & Ride. Note that Red Rock Passes for trailhead parking are not included in the tour price.
MEALS & AMENITIES
Are meals or refreshments provided?
No meals or snacks are provided on this tour — guests bring their own food and water. Filtered water refills are available at the meeting point if needed.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Will we have time for photos?
Yes. Devil’s Bridge is Sedona’s most photographed landmark, and the itinerary includes two unique vantage points for the perfect shot. Your guide can assist with photos at the bridge — just keep in mind the bridge gets busy, so there may be a short wait for your turn.
BOOKING & POLICIES
What does the hike cost?
The cost is $165 per hiker, with a 2-person minimum required for booking.
Are reservations required?
Yes. This is one of Sedona’s most popular hikes with limited group sizes, so booking in advance is necessary to secure your date.
Is the Red Rock Pass included?
No. Red Rock Passes for trailhead parking are not included in the tour price.
What is the cancellation policy?
