ITINERARY
Your day begins with pickup in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area (and select hotels in Tempe). To reduce pickup time, you may be asked to meet at a nearby hotel. From there, travel east into the Sonoran Desert with constant views of the Superstition Mountains as you follow the legendary Apache Trail.

Stop at Goldfield Ghost Town to learn about Arizona’s gold-mining era and explore this classic Old West setting. Continue to the tiny stagecoach stop of Tortilla Flat for photos, history, and a chance to soak in the scenery along one of Arizona’s most iconic drives.

Later, unwind on a relaxing 90-minute Dolly Steamboat nature cruise on Canyon Lake. This narrated ride features towering canyon walls and desert wildlife viewing opportunities—you may spot bighorn sheep, bald eagles, and other local wildlife. The tour is not strenuous and includes casual walking at stops.
