What is the Apache Trail Tour?
The Apache Trail Tour is a guided scenic day trip along Arizona's legendary Apache Trail. You'll travel through the Sonoran Desert with views of the Superstition Mountains, stop at Goldfield Ghost Town and Tortilla Flat, and enjoy a 90-minute Dolly Steamboat nature cruise on Canyon Lake.

How long is the tour?
The tour is approximately 8–9 hours, with pickup between 8:00am and 9:00am and return approximately 4:00pm–5:00pm.

What will I see on the tour?
You'll experience Arizona's first Historic Highway with constant views of the Superstition Mountains, explore Goldfield Ghost Town to learn about Arizona's gold-mining era, visit the tiny stagecoach stop of Tortilla Flat, and enjoy a narrated nature cruise on Canyon Lake featuring towering canyon walls and opportunities to spot wildlife such as bighorn sheep and bald eagles.

What is the Dolly Steamboat cruise?
The Dolly Steamboat is a 90-minute narrated nature cruise on Canyon Lake. The cruise features towering canyon walls and desert wildlife viewing opportunities. You may spot bighorn sheep, bald eagles, and other local wildlife.


REQUIREMENTS

Do I need any special skills or experience?
No experience is necessary. This tour is not strenuous and involves casual walking at stops. It is suitable for children and seniors.

Is there a minimum age?
Yes, the minimum age for this tour is 3 years old.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Sunscreen and hats are recommended.


GEAR & EQUIPMENT

What should I bring?
Bring sunscreen, a hat, comfortable walking shoes, a camera, and cash for the steamboat snack bar. Please also bring snacks and/or lunch if needed, as meals are not included.

Is water provided?
Yes, unlimited bottled water is included on the tour.

Is food available on the tour?
Meals are not included. There are opportunities to purchase food at Goldfield Ghost Town, Tortilla Flat, and the Dolly Steamboat snack bar. Please note that the Dolly Steamboat snack bar is cash only.


SEASON & DEPARTURES

When is this tour available?
This tour is available year round. Public tours depart on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

What time does the tour depart and return?
Pickup is between 8:00am and 9:00am, with return approximately 4:00pm–5:00pm.

Where does the tour pick up?
Pickup is available from select hotels in the Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe areas. To reduce pickup time, you may be asked to meet at a nearby hotel location.

What type of vehicle is used?
Public tours are in high-roof touring vans designed for small groups and comfort, with onboard amenities such as USB charging ports and a speaker system.


RESERVATIONS

Are reservations required?
Yes, reservations are required for this tour.

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as far in advance as possible to secure your preferred date.

Is there a minimum number of participants?
Yes, a minimum number of participants is required for public tours. Groups may be combined to meet the minimum.

What is the maximum group size?
Public tour vans seat a maximum of 13 guests. Groups larger than 13 should contact us before booking.

Are private tours available?
Private ground tours are available; however, the Dolly Steamboat cruise portion remains a public cruise. Please contact us for more information.


CANCELLATION POLICY

What is the cancellation policy?
This tour has a 72-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the tour date will be charged 100% of the tour fee. Cancellations made outside the 72-hour window will receive a full refund, minus any applicable processing fees. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. All cancellations must receive written confirmation to be valid.

What happens if 360 Adventures cancels the tour?
In the rare event that 360 Adventures must cancel the tour, you will receive a 100% refund, including any fees.

Do tours run in bad weather?
Tours operate rain or shine. We only cancel tours for dangerous weather conditions, and the decision to do so is made solely at the discretion of 360 Adventures.
