Tour Itinerary

The journey begins at the Pima Canyon Trailhead, where your guide provides a safety briefing before heading into the rugged ridges of South Mountain Park. We transition from low-elevation desert scrub into a landscape of weathered granite and steep volcanic rock. Along the way, your guide details the geological forces that shaped this mountain range and the history of the early inhabitants who left their mark on the stones.

As we enter Hidden Valley, the terrain shifts to sandy floors and narrow corridors. We navigate through the Natural Tunnel and descend toward Fat Man’s Pass for the signature rock squeeze. The return loop includes a stop at an abandoned mine and expansive views of the Phoenix skyline before we conclude the four-mile trek back at the trailhead.
