What is this tour like?
This is a relaxing guided kayaking float along the Salt River, featuring lush riverbanks, red cliffs, and the possibility of seeing wild horses and bald eagles.

Will we see wild horses?
Wild horses often frequent the Salt River, but sightings are not guaranteed.

How long is the tour?
Expect approximately 1.5–2 hours on the water.

Where does the tour take place?
The route varies between sections of the Salt River, from Saguaro Lake to Granite Reef, chosen daily based on water levels.

Is this a guided tour?
Yes. All tours are led by skilled and certified guides.

REQUIREMENTS

 

What are the age and size requirements?
Children must be at least 12 years old, 4'6", and weigh at least 35 lbs. Maximum participant weight is 275 lbs.

What skill level is required?
This is a gentle, relaxing float suitable for beginners.

GEAR & EQUIPMENT

 

What equipment is provided?
Tandem kayaks, paddles, safety equipment, snacks, bottled water, a parking pass, and roundtrip transportation from check-in to the drop-in point are included.

Should I bring anything?
Wear shoes that can get wet and won’t fall off, dress for the weather, and bring sunscreen, a hat, and a waterproof camera.

When is this tour available?
The tour operates year-round, with morning-only departures during summer.

What are the departure times?
October–April: 9am & 1pm. May–September: Morning tours only, typically between 7:30am–9am.

RESERVATIONS

 

Are reservations required?
Yes, reservations are required for all tours.

CANCELLATION POLICY

 

What is the cancellation policy?
You may cancel up to 72 hours before your tour for a full refund. Cancellations within 72 hours are non‑refundable. All cancellations must be submitted in writing and must receive written confirmation to be valid.
