ITINERARY
Escape the city on a refreshing guided kayaking adventure along the Salt River, a hidden gem just a short drive from Phoenix. Paddle along lush green riverbanks and beneath towering red cliffs, keeping an eye out for sightings of wild horses and bald eagles. Join a guided tour scheduled to avoid crowds, ensuring a peaceful and enjoyable experience on the water. Explore different sections of the river, from Saguaro Lake to Granite Reef, with the route chosen daily based on water levels for optimal exploration. Immerse yourself in the surprising natural beauty of Arizona's desert landscape on this unforgettable kayaking excursion.

While the Salt River wild horses often frequent the river, sightings are not guaranteed.

Cost: $140/person (4-person minimum)
**Single kayaks available for additional $10/person (based on availability).
**Private tours are available for an additional $200.
**Hotel pick-up may be available for $250 for up to 10 guests

Includes: Skilled & certified guide(s), tandem kayaks, paddles, safety equipment, snacks & bottled water, parking pass, and roundtrip transportation from check-in to drop-in point.

Season: This tour is available year-round but only morning departures are available in the summer.

• May–September: Morning tours only; times are seasonally adjusted from 7:30am–9am.

Skill level: This is a relaxing float through the desert. Children must be a minimum of 12 years old and 4'6", and weigh at least 35 lbs to go on a tour. Maximum weight 275 lbs.

Notes: Reservations are required. Please wear shoes that can get wet and won’t fall off in the water (no flip-flops or bare feet). Recommended attire includes a hat, clothing appropriate for the expected weather conditions, and sunscreen SPF 30 or higher. Don’t forget a waterproof camera!
