What kind of experience is this?
This is a relaxing, smooth-water scenic float on the Lower Salt River. There are no white water rapids, making it an ideal way to enjoy the desert scenery and look for wildlife.
Will we see wild horses and bald eagles?
While wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, this route through the Tonto National Forest is prime territory for spotting Salt River Wild Horses, bald eagles, deer, and other native species.
How long is the tour?
The float lasts approximately 2 hours, though the exact duration can vary based on the river's water flow.
Where do we meet?
The tour departs from a designated rendezvous spot on the Salt River. Shuttle transportation to and from this spot is included in your tour.
Are there age or weight restrictions?
Yes. Participants must be at least 6 years old. Per our safety requirements, the minimum weight is 50 pounds and the maximum weight is 275 pounds.
Do I need to be an experienced rafter?
Not at all. This tour is suitable for all skill levels. We provide a brief orientation and all necessary safety gear before we head out on the water.
Are minors allowed?
Yes, as long as they meet the age and weight requirements. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
What equipment is provided?
We provide outfitter-grade inflatable rafts, paddles, and personal flotation devices (life vests). We also provide snacks and bottled water.
What should I wear?
Wear lightweight, quick-drying clothes. Even though the water is calm, you may get lightly wet. Secure footwear that can get wet is required (no flip-flops or bare feet). We also recommend a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
Should I bring a camera?
Yes! We highly recommend a waterproof camera or a dry bag for your electronics so you can capture photos of the wild horses and scenery.
When does this tour run?
This tour is available year-round. From October through April, we offer departures at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. From May through September, we offer morning-only departures at 7:30 AM to avoid the midday heat.
What happens if it rains?
Tours operate rain or shine. We only cancel in the event of dangerous weather conditions, a decision made at the sole discretion of 360 Adventures.
Are reservations required?
Yes, advanced reservations are required for all tours.
Is hotel pickup available?
Yes, hotel pickup can be arranged for an additional fee of $250 per group (up to 10 guests).
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes, all participants must sign a digital liability waiver before the start of the tour.
What is the cancellation policy?
This tour has a 72-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the tour date will be charged 100% of the tour fee. Cancellations made outside the 72-hour window will receive a full refund, minus any applicable processing fees. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
