We want you to feel fully prepared for your flight. Below are answers to the most common questions about our sunrise hot air balloon tours departing from Phoenix and Scottsdale.

ABOUT THE TOUR

Webpage: https://www.360-adventures.com/phoenix-hot-air-balloon-tours/

What's included in this tour?
A 45–60 minute sunrise flight, professional pilot narration, ground crew support, traditional champagne or apple cider toast, and a seasonal continental breakfast.

How long is the tour?
Expect a total experience of 3–3.5 hours, including check-in, shuttle, inflation, flight, and the post-flight breakfast.

What will I see?
Aerial views of the Sonoran Desert, including Camelback Mountain, the Phoenix skyline, and desert mountain fronts. Route varies daily based on wind currents.

Is this a guided experience?
Yes. Your FAA-certified pilot provides narration throughout the flight, explaining the landscape and the mechanics of ballooning.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

What is the minimum age?
Children ages 5 and older are welcome. Children must be at least 48 inches tall to see over the edge of the basket.

How difficult is the tour?
The flight is easy and peaceful. However, guests must be able to stand for at least one hour and step into and out of the basket (no seats are available during flight).

Is there a weight limit?
Balloons have strict lift capacities. We require accurate passenger weights at the time of booking to ensure a safe and properly balanced flight.

Is this tour suitable for guests with mobility limitations?
This tour is not recommended for guests with significant back or knee issues, or those who cannot stand for the duration of the flight. For safety, we cannot fly pregnant guests.

WHAT TO BRING & WHAT TO WEAR

What should I wear?
Dress in layers for cool desert mornings. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory as launch and landing sites are in natural desert terrain.

Can I bring a camera?
Yes. We highly encourage cameras and smartphones. Small bags or camera cases are allowed, but space in the basket is limited.

Should I bring a hat?
Yes. A hat is recommended to protect your head from the radiant heat of the balloon's burners.

WEATHER & SEASONAL CONDITIONS

Do tours run in rain or high winds?
No. Ballooning is highly weather-dependent. Flights only proceed in stable winds and clear visibility. Pilots make final safety calls the morning of the flight.

What happens if my flight is canceled due to weather?
If the pilot cancels due to safety or weather conditions, you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

How does the pilot know where to fly?
Pilots use a "pibal" (small helium balloon) before launch to read air currents. While they can control altitude, the wind determines the direction of the flight.

PICKUP & TRANSPORTATION

Where do we meet?
All guests check in at Phoenix Deer Valley Airport. From there, we provide shuttle transportation to the day's specific launch field.

What kind of vehicle will we be in?
We use professional chase-crew vans to shuttle guests between the airport, the launch site, and the landing area.

MEALS & AMENITIES

Is breakfast included?
Yes. After landing, guests enjoy a seasonal continental breakfast in the desert while the crew handles the balloon pack-out.

Are there bathrooms available?
Bathrooms are available at the airport check-in. There are no bathrooms once we depart for the launch field or while in flight.

PHOTOGRAPHY

When is the best time for photos?
Inflation is a prime photography window. In the air, try to capture side-light just after sunrise to emphasize desert textures and cactus silhouettes.

Are drones allowed?
No. Drones are strictly prohibited around balloon operations for safety reasons.

BOOKING & POLICIES

Do I need reservations?
Yes. Reservations are required. Please mention any special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries) or food allergies during booking.

What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel up to 72 hours before your tour for a full refund.
