ITINERARY
Ready to take your climbing skills outdoors? This beginner-friendly outdoor rock climbing course near Phoenix & Scottsdale starts with safety orientation, communication commands, and site etiquette before moving into hands-on equipment fitting and rope skills. You’ll practice belaying, knot tying, and efficient climbing movement while learning to read routes and problem-solve on real desert rock. Throughout the day, guides progressively build comfort on the wall and finish with guidance on next steps for continued climbing progression.  COURSE SYLLABUS

Includes:  Permits & entry fees, certified instructors, all ropes and anchor systems.

Cost: 4-8 Guests - $475/person (minimum 4)

  • Gear rentals are available for $30/person (helmet, harness, locking carabiner, belay device, climbing shoes)
  • Pricing does not include optional instructor gratuity.

Season:  This class is available October through April.

Skill level:  Beginner to Intermediate – ideal for first-time climbers or those transitioning from indoor to outdoor climbing.  Participants must be able to hike with a 20lb pack over uneven terrain for approximately 2 miles.  This tour is not recommended for guests with knee, hip, back issues or pregnancy. Please note that bees may be present.

Notes:  RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.  Comfortable clothing that allows for a full range of motion is recommended.  Participants are required to have a helmet, harness, locking carabiner & belay device, and climbing shoes(Rental gear is available).  Participants must wear appropriate closed-toe footwear.  Guests must bring their own water, snacks, and lunch.  Guides will cover rope awareness, environmental hazards, weather considerations, and Leave No Trace principles.  Minimum age 8 years old.
