How much walking is involved?

Most stops involve short walks of a few minutes on paved or well-maintained paths. Guests may choose how much or how little they want to explore at each viewpoint.

Is the elevation a concern?

The Grand Canyon South Rim sits at approximately 7,000 feet above sea level. Some guests may feel mild effects such as shortness of breath or lightheadedness due to the higher altitude.

Is this tour suitable for guests with mobility limitations?

Yes, the South Rim viewpoints we visit are generally wheelchair accessible with paved paths. Please notify us in advance if you have specific mobility equipment so we can ensure comfortable accommodations.

Dress for the forecast at the Grand Canyon, which is typically 20–30°F cooler than Phoenix. Comfortable clothing and layers are highly recommended.

Do I need special footwear?

Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes or sneakers are recommended for the rim paths.

Can I bring snacks or water?

Yes. Small snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. We provide unlimited bottled water throughout the day.

Should I bring a jacket?

Yes. Temperatures at the canyon can be significantly cooler than the valley, especially in the morning and evening, making extra layers necessary.
