What is dry canyoneering?
Dry canyoneering involves hiking, scrambling, and rappelling through a desert slot canyon without the need for swimming or technical water gear. You’ll descend natural rock features, navigate narrow passages, and explore sculpted sandstone formations.

Where does the tour take place?
This tour takes place near Globe, Arizona, in a remote desert canyon known for its beautiful sandstone walls and natural rappelling features.

How long is the tour?
This is a full‑day adventure, including hiking, rappelling, and canyon travel.

Is this a guided tour?
Yes. All tours are led by highly trained professional guides with a perfect safety record.


REQUIREMENTS & SAFETY

How physically demanding is this tour?
This is a moderately strenuous adventure. Guests must be able to hike approximately 4 miles over uneven terrain while carrying a 20 lb pack, scramble short sections, and be comfortable with heights.

Is there a minimum age?
Yes. The minimum age is 14. Children ages 8–13 may participate on a private tour.

Is there a weight or size limit?
Guests must be able to fit into our harnesses, which accommodate up to a 42" waist.

Is the route reversible?
No. Once the descent begins, the route is one‑way only and cannot be reversed.

How safe is the tour?
Our guides are highly trained professionals with a perfect safety record. All technical gear is professionally maintained and thoroughly inspected before each tour.

Are bees present in the canyon?
Yes. Bees are often present. Guests with allergies must bring appropriate medication.

Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. All participants must sign the Assumption of Risk form at least 72 hours before the tour. Minors must have a parent or legal guardian sign for them.

What gear is provided?
We provide all technical gear, including helmets, harnesses, rappel devices, gloves, and safety equipment.

Do I need to bring water?
Yes. Each guest must bring 24–32 ounces of water. Filtered water is provided for refills.

What should I wear?
Closed‑toe shoes are required. Additional clothing guidance is provided in your confirmation email.

Do I need to bring shorts?
Yes. Guests must bring a pair of shorts to wear over their wetsuit to prevent damage.


WEATHER & CONDITIONS

Does weather affect the tour?
Yes. Tours may be canceled or rescheduled if conditions are unsafe. Full weather details are provided in your confirmation email.

Do canyon conditions change?
Canyon conditions may vary after major weather events, but the route itself remains consistent.


LOGISTICS & MEETING LOCATION

Where do we meet?
You will meet your guide in Globe, Arizona. Exact meeting instructions are provided after booking.

Will my guide contact me?
Yes. Your guide will call the afternoon or evening before your tour to introduce themselves and answer any last‑minute questions.

Do I need reservations?
Yes. Reservations are required for all canyoneering tours.

What is your cancellation policy?
This tour has a 72‑hour cancellation policy. Cancellations within 72 hours are non‑refundable.

Can I book a private tour?
Yes. Private tours are available for groups of 4 or more.
