Sitting at over 3300' of elevation, Cottonwood is in a very unique landscape. It also sits amidst some of the greatest "things to do and see" in the state. First, it's the epicenter of Arizona's amazing wine industry. Next, it's within minutes of the magical red rocks of Sedona and the quirky community of Jerome. It's also a quick drive to some amazing historical ruins - Tuzigoot and Montezuma's Castle. Lastly, the restaurants of Old Town Cottonwood are worth the trip alone.
So, while you're visiting, you might as well have some fun, right? Rent a UTV and rip around the 4X4 roads in the back country. Choose from 2, 4 and 6-hour trails including the Verde River Loop, Shaman's Cave, Sycamore Canyon and even Diamondback Gulch. Then, when you're done, enjoy a scrumptious lunch or dinner from the taco truck at the trailhead - you won't be sorry.
