We want you to feel fully prepared for your climb. Below are answers to the most common questions about our private, half-day guided rock climbing experience in Arizona.
What is this experience?
This is a private, half-day guided rock climbing adventure with climbs selected for your group’s ability and confidence level.
How long is the tour?
This is a 3–4 hour experience.
Is this tour private?
Yes. Each climb is kept private for your group.
Where do we climb?
Locations depend on group size and abilities. Your guide will discuss the final location with you.
Where do we meet?
We typically meet at Tom’s Thumb Trailhead, but we occasionally change the meeting location based on conditions and your group.
What time does the tour start?
Tour start times are seasonally adjusted. October–April: 8:00am and 1:00pm. May–September: 5:00am–6:00am.
Will my guide contact me before the tour?
Yes. Your guide will call prior to the tour to introduce themselves and answer any last-minute questions.
What’s included?
Permits & entry fees, skilled guide(s), all necessary climbing gear & safety equipment, water refills, and snacks. Guides carry First Aid kits & cell phones.
What skill level is this tour best for?
Beginner to Advanced.
What physical ability do I need?
Participants must be able to hike over uneven terrain.
Do I need to fit into provided harnesses?
Yes. Adults must be able to fit into our harnesses (up to a 42" waist). Children must be able to fit into our children’s harness.
Do you provide climbing shoes?
If you are not bringing your own climbing shoes, we will need shoe sizes in advance. Our largest shoe size is a men’s 4.
What should I wear?
Clothing that allows for a good range of motion is required.
What kind of shoes do I need?
Closed-toe shoes are required for this tour.
How much water should I bring?
Guests must bring their own 24–32oz water; we will have filtered water for refills.
What else should I bring?
We suggest a hat and sunglasses for times you’re not climbing. Don’t forget your camera.
Is this tour available year-round?
Yes. This tour is available year round, weather dependent.
What if the weather looks questionable?
We closely monitor weather conditions and will cancel tours when inclement or dangerous weather threatens the safety of participants. Weather-related decisions are made solely by 360 Adventures with guest safety as our top priority.
Are bees present outdoors?
Please note that bees are often present outdoors; if you are deathly allergic then you must bring the appropriate medication.
Do we need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Everyone in your party must sign the Assumption of Risk form HERE at least 72 hours prior to your tour. Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the form for them.
Do I need reservations?
Yes. Reservations are required.
What is your cancellation policy?
This tour has a 72-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the tour date will be charged 100% of the tour fee. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to tours@360-adventures.com. Cancellations made outside the 72-hour window will receive a full refund, minus any applicable processing fees. In the rare event that 360 Adventures must cancel the tour, you will receive a 100% refund, including any fees. All cancellations must receive written confirmation to be valid.
Is gratuity included?
Gratuity is not required, but it is always appreciated. For reference, typical gratuities are 15%–20%.
