Important Information About New National Park Entry Fees

The U.S. National Park Service (NPS) has introduced a new federal policy affecting international visitors to select National Parks.

New Non‑Resident Fee Policy

Effective January 1, 2026, non‑U.S. citizens and non‑residents must pay a Non‑Resident Fee when visiting 11 major national parks:
Acadia, Bryce Canyon, Everglades, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain, Sequoia & Kings Canyon, Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Zion.

How to Purchase the Required Pass

1. Online Options

Physical Annual Pass (Recommended):
Order from the USGS Online Store.

Digital Annual Pass (Instant Access):
Purchase via Recreation.gov.

2. In‑Person Purchase

If you're traveling soon, you can buy the pass at the first participating park entrance station or visitor center you visit.

Purchasing in advance is highly recommended if you'll visit multiple parks to avoid paying the per‑person non‑resident fees.
