Experience sunrise and sunset at your leisure at the most majestic section of the Grand Canyon, the South Rim. This 2-day guided Grand Canyon tour offers a chance to experience all there is to at the crown jewel of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World - the Grand Canyon National Park. You'll meet your guide in the Valley on day one. On the way you'll experience the diversity of Arizona's topography - we go from a low desert area, through the scrub and transition zones, and then through the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the world. You'll even get to see the historic Route 66 en route.
Eventually we'll get to the Grand Canyon where your guide will make sure you're checked in. After you've checked in the canyon is yours. Take a stroll along the rim path. Stop at El Tovar and Kolb Studios. Visit the Harvey House where ladies searched for husbands in the early part of the 20th century. Most importantly - make sure to be at the rim at sunset.
The next day, starts it all over again, only this time you need to be at the rim at sunrise. The contrast is dramatic. Your guide will pick you up in the early afternoon and you'll join the group as they make their way east along the rim road, stopping at various viewpoints.

To see Arizona’s rich history, the Grand Canyon tour with an overnight stay gives you an chance to marvel at the spectacular landscapes of the Grand Canyon. After departing the Phoenix-Scottsdale area at approximately 6:00am guests will enjoy a narrated, scenic drive as you ascend from the desert, through the transition zones, and into the high country where you'll see magnificant Ponderosa pines.
Atop the Mogollon Rim, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff on our way to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Guests will enjoy the magnificent views that open up in front of them while standing on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. While at the South Rim of the National Park, you will have opportunities to walk the rim, shop, capture an unlimited number of photographs, or enjoy your lunch and relax with the best seat in the house. Your guide will assist you with your hotel check in and you will have the remainder of the day on your own to relax overlooking one of the Natural Wonders of the World. Lodging upgrades are available for an additional cost.
Overnight at or near Grand Canyon National Park, AZ
During the morning hours, you will have ample time on your own to relax, take sunrise photographs overlooking the Grand Canyon, or even do a morning hike. At approximately 1:45pm, your guide will greet you at the front lobby of your Grand Canyon hotel to further explore the Canyon.
Additional tour highlights today will include a stop along historic Route 66 in Williams for a chance to experience this iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition. While in Williams, guests will have the opportunity to “get their kicks on Route 66” with walks along the original route, explore the local shops and capture souvenir photos highlighting a bygone era in classic Americana history. Also known as the Will Rodgers Highway, Route 66 is the most recognizable road in the United States and stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to California upon completion.
