Canyoneering, or canyoning, is a true adventure that just about anyone can do - no experience required. On this adventure you'll find yourself hiking, scrambling, boulder hopping and rappelling as you descend through beautiful natural gorges. Canyons are dynamic environments that are constantly changing - the same canyon could be totally different from season to season.
Depending on the canyon we'll meet you at the trailhead or a central rendezvous location. We'll gear up and make our way to the canyon. Once we're in, we can't turn around - the adventure is on!!
Duration: approximately 4-8 hours depending on group numbers and pace (not including transportation time).
Rendezvous Location: Globe/Claypool
Includes: Permits & entry fees, skilled guide(s), transportation from Phoenix, all necessary adventure gear & safety equipment, lunch, water, snacks & day packs. Guides carry First Aid kits & cell phones.
Cost: $425/first person, $225/add'l person. Groups of 4 or more are $225/person. Private tours available for an additional fee of $250. Transportation from Phoenix/Scottsdale is $150/group 1-3; $250/group 4-10.
Season: October through March
Skill level: Beginner to Advanced, but a good fitness level is required since this is a full-day adventure. Participants must be able hike at least one hour at a time. Turning around or pulling out is not an option. Minimum age is 14; however parties with children aged 10-13 may opt for a private tour for an additional fee ($250). This tour is not recommended for guests with knee, hip or back issues. Please note that bees are often present in canyons.
Notes: RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. Canyoneering tours are usually group tours; private tours are available for an additional fee. Hat & sunscreen recommended. Don't forget your camera! Closed toe shoes are required.
Cancellation Policy: All half and full day tours have a 72-hour cancelation policy. If your plans change for any reason, please be sure to call at least 72 hours prior to the day of your tour to avoid charges.
