Guided Half & Full Day Tours

Multi-Day Adventures

A fun day in the canyon. When the guides of 360 Adventures got together and began to dream of what they’d do on their vacations, this is an itinerary they came up with . . . camping, two days of adventure and primitive skills workshops, all in a three day weekend.

Day one will find us in Salome Canyon, a pink granite drainage into Roosevelt Lake.  We'll spend our day hiking, wading and swimming through the 150' photogenic slot.  One short rappel awaits us near the end.  Day two will be spent exploring Tonto National Monument in the morning then learning about the seeminglyAncient Ruins of the Salado People. harsh Sonoran Desert and how the ancients thrived.  The deeper gorge of Parker is reserved for day three; this jagged, deep canyon is more technical than Salome but easier to navigate due to less water.

"Why mix canyoneering with primitive skills?" you ask!  Our reply is that canyoneering is a great way to explore where most people dare not go; primitive skills are just fun to learn.  And since most of us like to relax in the outdoors a day of rest is augmented by learning how to make pottery, or cordage, or discovering the edible, medicinal and useful plants of the area.
