The Grand Canyon

Backpacking in the Grand Canyon is a little difficult to describe.  Try as we may, no explanations of the magnitude of these trips comes close, compared to the actual impact on the soul!  To walk among the towering plateaus, mesas and buttes gives one the feeling they're walking in the heart of the earth.

Let our professional guides escort you through this natural wonder.  Each of our trip leaders is medically certified as a Wilderness First Responder and has been on the routes countless times.  Let them reduce the hassles, freeing you up to drink in the view and take in the sounds of silence.

We've personally selected these itineraries for their solitude and camping locations, opting for the more remote & less traveled sections.  We know where the water is, diminishing our burdens on travel days.  Taste 300 year old purified water that has percolated through the earth's crust, springing up for our enjoyment!  No doubt that it tastes better than your water at home.

Grandview to South Kaibab

5/6 days, 4/5 nights

This trip is for more experienced hikers looking for a true Grand Canyon backcountry thrill.  We'll quickly descend into the canyon and make our way to the Tonto plateau.  We'll spend the majority of our time at 3800' as we meander west, ducking into "hiccups" and streams.  You'll be able to peer deep into the canyon bottom, still another thousand feet below through the jagged Vishnu Schist.  The last day's ascent quickly passes as you rise above the dramatic layers.
